Our 5 favorite trends for wellness and fitness

A new year has begun, and with it comes much that will change the fitness world. Perhaps you're one of those people who have resolved to do more for your health this year. To help you achieve that, we're sharing 5 of our favorite wellness and fitness trends for 2025!

Mixed sports bring a breath of fresh air

Want to get fitter, but all the usual workouts seem dull and boring? Maybe try a new hybrid sport! Combinations like Piloxing (boxing & Pilates) or SUP yoga (yoga on a stand-up paddleboard) are becoming increasingly popular and accessible. You can either do two of your favorite sports at the same time or try something new without it feeling completely unfamiliar.

In 2025, sport will increasingly be combined with mental relaxation. Sauna, massage, and meditation will be the perfect way to end an intense workout.

No room for excuses thanks to mini-workouts

Not everyone has the time and energy to spend several hours a week at the gym. Challenges are good, but too great a challenge can kill motivation.

This year you can benefit from numerous mini-workouts. Just 10 minutes a day with exercises you can do at home – it's that easy to train your body. And for those who want to take it a step further, investing in dumbbells allows for even more effective workouts.

And it's that easy: Create a short list of about 5 exercises such as lunges, squats, push-ups, sit-ups, etc. Perform each exercise for 30 to 45 seconds, with a 30-second break in between. Do two rounds of this. And...done!

Mindfulness takes the pressure off

Mindfulness is a wellness trend that raises awareness that a healthy body doesn't automatically result in a healthy mind. Mindfulness exercises help you switch off and focus on yourself. This allows you to better listen to your inner voice and simultaneously perceive your surroundings more clearly. Those who regularly practice mindfulness learn to distinguish between what's important and what's not, and to reduce stress.

You can find a simple mindfulness exercise and further suggestions for your mental well-being in our blog article on the topic of stress.

Nature is a gym

We've spent most of the last two years indoors and are now eager to finally get outside again in our free time. Cycling, hiking, and running will become increasingly popular in 2025! Such workouts are not only free but can also be done spontaneously.

Our tip: If you're not keen on exercising in public but still want to do something good for your body, you can always go for the tried-and-tested method of walking. Take some time for a stroll through the neighborhood, whether alone, with your dog, or with other people.

But whether it's a leisurely stroll or a vigorous bike ride: being outdoors in nature is good for everyone and automatically reduces stress.

Hybrid training combines two worlds

More and more gyms are offering hybrid classes, giving members the opportunity to work out together from home. Those who prefer to train at the gym can continue to do so, while those who don't feel comfortable there can stay in their own living room and still participate. Even with physical separation, members can still motivate and interact with each other. Either way, fitness will become more social again in 2025, with interaction taking center stage.

Our conclusion

Whether your goal is small or ambitious, whether you want to work on your physical or mental health – 2025 holds many new things in store for you. We hope this blog post has inspired you on your journey and that you feel ready to actually put your New Year's resolutions into action this time! We wish you the best of luck in trying them out.
