The perfect massage thanks to massage tools

Massage tools help put pressure onto specific spots and support the therapist in intensity and power. Each massage tool has a certain shape that makes it possible to apply the pressure precisely. At the same time, it facilitates self-massage at home.

What kinds of tools exist?

Each massage tool is made for one or several specific zones. Popular tools are the Knobble, Knobber, and Jacknobber II. They are stimulating and make it easier to treat trigger points and loosen tensions. During a massage, the pressure can be regulated easily and you’re able to reach deep-lying tissue.

For hard-to-reach regions, we recommend using the Thera Cane. This massage tool treats painful muscle groups on your neck, shoulders, arms, and legs. The muscles experience pressure which loosens them and supports blood flow.

For bigger areas, you can use the Woodsticks. During the massage, these wooden tools support regeneration, improve mobility and overall physical comfort. The Woodsticks too allow you to individually regulate pressure for the best possible result.

Acupressure mats are popular as well. Through your own bodyweight alone, the plastic spikes stimulate different acupressure points and reflex zones and improve your metabolism as well as blood flow. The intensified blood circulation supports the nutrition supply of the tissue and loosens tense muscles. With the set, you receive not only a mat for your back but also a pillow and a foot mat. This way you can easily treat your own body without having to do much yourself.

How do tools facilitate the massage?

Massage tools support the masseur in putting pressure on those body regions that cause pain. The regions include:

  • back
  • neck
  • bum
  • arms
  • legs

The massage tools enhance the pressure and save you from excessive exertion. This allows therapists to ration their energy more effectively which is especially helpful for trigger point massages. Tools also facilitate self massages at home and guarantee success.

Athletes like working with massage tools as well to either stretch or relax their muscles.

What are fasciae and why should they be treated with a massage?

The Latin word fascia means ribbon or bandage. Fasciae are connective tissue that covers muscles and other structures. Different pains can be symptoms of glued fasciae:

  • hardened muscles
  • tense muscles
  • back pain

Fascia tools can help spread out connective tissue evenly, especially the Woodsticks or acupressure mats are helpful here. They allow you to treat your fasciae without the help of others and revitalize your body. We recommend training your fasciae 2 to 3 times a week for 10 to 20 minutes.

Tip: For gliding pressure try to first massage your skin with massage oil. The oil relaxes, vitalizes and nourishes your skin.
